In the middle of my third Sketchbook Skool online course. My 15th teacher, Mattias Adolfsson is from Sweden, and he is just as amazing as all the previous teachers I have spent a week learning from. During this week, Mattias is encouraging us to reacquaint ourselves with our imaginations. He asked us to draw something from reality and to detail it with something from our imagination. I started with a tree outside our kitchen window, against the grey sky of this damp October day, and as I was drawing the tree, my mind began to wander towards Halloween which is quickly approaching. From there I remembered back to a particular dinosaur costume that I had made for our daughter, Anna, so long ago. She loved that costume so so much that she never wanted to take it off. She insisted on wearing it everyday and everywhere, wherever our travels took us. So much fun exploring with our imaginations.
